Creme Brulee French Toast!

1/4 cup butter
2 1" thick slices of bread (best with homemade) with the crust trimmed
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sliced bananas
1/2 cup slices strawberries

Beat together egg yolks and sugar. Slowly whisk milk and cream into egg mixture. Stir in vanilla. Dip bread in egg mixture. Saute' in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Top with sliced bananas and strawberries. Serve with warm maple syrup.
